About Us
A Legacy Woven in Time: The Kingen Story
The Roots (1895 - 1920s)
Our story began in 1895 with a humble fabric trade in Zhejiang. By the 1920s, our grandfather, Mr. Cheng, took this passion to Shanghai—the "Paris of the East." He became a renowned master tailor, crafting intricate Qipaos and suits for the city's elite. Quality was not just a requirement; it was his reputation.
The Craft (1968 - 2000s)
In 1968, Grandfather Cheng returned to his hometown to establish a factory, dedicating his life to teaching over 200 apprentices the art of tailoring. This obsession with detail and durability was passed down through generations. In 2002, the family expanded from clothing to home textiles, applying the same dress-making precision to everyday kitchen and home essentials.
The Mission (Today)
In 2020, Kingen Home was born. We pivoted our century-old expertise towards a new goal: Sustainability. We realized that high-quality textiles could replace disposable waste.
Today, whether it’s our cotton flannel rolls or our vacuum-insulated drinkware, every product is built to last. We are proud to bring our family's heritage of quality to homes across North America, Europe, and Asia.
